About FMC Learn to Skate Programs
Welcome to the first step of the FMC Ice Sports group program progression. Each Learn to Skate level is designed to teach a specific set of skills geared toward basic movement, coordination and balance on the ice. It is important that the level progression is followed and for skaters to demonstrate skills efficiently to staff before advancing. Instructors will evaluate students and give progress reports to skaters at the end of each season.

2012 FMC Skater Scholarship

Application Deadline - May 15, 2012

A Message from the President

The FMC Skater Scholarship program was developed in 1993 to provide financial assistance to ice sports participants and recreational ice skaters that demonstrate personal excellence on and off the ice. The scholarships are awarded to ice hockey, figure skating and recreational skate in participants in June of each year.

Over the past 17 years, FMC has awarded over $300,000 in education scholarships to 340 high school graduates seeking to further their education. Scholarship winners are selected by a review committee and are based upon the applicant’s academic performance, involvement in extracurricular and community activities, as well as their accomplishments and leadership on the ice. The scholarship program is an extension of FMC’s commitment to the communities we serve. Our mission is to help youngsters achieve the very best from themselves on and off the ice. Keeping the participation cost as affordable as possible, offering quality programs that focus on development and helping in some small way to defray the cost of higher education are just some of the ways toward that goal.

Very Truly Yours,
Robert R. McBride
President, Facility Management Corporation
