It would’ve been hard to argue that this was a high-profile game, but it turned out to be one of the most exciting games of the season thus far. All the scoring took place in the second period with Fall River scoring first and Taunton striking back. Michael Smith’s goal, with just under a minute left in the second period, gave Taunton a lead it would not relinquish. Team Final Score
New Bedford 5
NEHI 2
New Bedford and NEHI met on January 9th and both teams put forth a spirited effort, proving just how vital each point is in the standings. Quin Indio and Max Suave did all the goal-scoring for New Bedford and it was Indio’s second that served as the game-winner. Team Final Score
Lakeville/Freetown 9
Dartmouth 5
Lakeville/Freetown made a clear statement that the winner of this league must go through them at some point. They easily dispatched a strong Dartmouth team 9-5 on January 9th.  It didn’t look that easy in the beginning as both teams found the back of the net three times in the first period. However, Derek Clancy and Co., kept the scoring going and added four more in the second and two in the third. Drew Sylvia had an outstanding performance for Dartmouth in a losing effort with one goal and three assists.

Team Final Score
Nauset 7
NEHI 0

Coach Roger Peterson had his team ready and they scored three times in the first period to jump out to an early 3-0 lead.  NEHI battled hard, but they could not solve Nauset’s goaltender or their defense at any point in this game.
